Tech for Community 2026
A two-day in-person hackathon bringing 100+ high school students together to build technology projects tackling real community challenges.

Tech for Community 2026 is a youth-led hackathon designed to give high school students the opportunity, tools, and mentorship to turn ideas into solutions for real community problems. Over two days, approximately 100 students will work in teams of four across four tracks: Digital Innovation & AI, Environmental Innovation, Health & Wellness, and Social Impact Innovation. Participants will have access to workshops, mentors, hardware such as microcontrollers and robotics kits, and judging from professionals and community leaders. Beginners are specifically encouraged to participate, and attendance is completely free to reduce barriers to entry. By the end of the event, we expect approximately 25 student-built projects, while helping young people develop technical skills, teamwork, confidence, and experience applying technology to problems that matter in their communities.
