About the fund.
Twice a year TKS Academic Partnerships funds 5 student-led projects for their school communities with grants of up to $1,000 each. Students apply, TKS reviews and approves, and the community votes.
Why TKS Academic Partnerships runs this fund
This fund helps students start clubs, hackathons, events and shared activities at school. It gives an idea a path to funding and gives students practice making a plan, asking for support and bringing people together.
That is high agency in practice: noticing a possibility and taking a first step. Students can lead on their own or with a team, with an educator available to support the project.
The fund also introduces students and educators to TKS. TKS Academic Partnerships provides the grants; the community vote decides which approved projects receive them.
Who TKS is
TKS is The Knowledge Society. The fund is a TKS Academic Partnerships program, and TKS Academic Partnerships puts up the money for every grant.
We would like to run it alongside more schools than it reaches today. If you are an educator and you would like the fund to reach your students, write to us and say so.
Student privacy
A project's public page shows the project and the school. Student names, ages, grades and contact details are never published, and we never sell data. If anything on the site identifies a student, write to damian@tks.world and it comes down.
